We’ve built our reputation on quality, reliability and long-standing client relationships, and that continued growth means we now need an experienced, commercially minded Estimator to help us secure and deliver exciting projects across the UK.
The role
Reporting to our Commercial Director, you’ll be responsible for preparing accurate and competitive tenders, carrying out site surveys, obtaining supplier and subcontractor quotations, and supporting projects from initial enquiry right through to handover.
You’ll work closely with our Commercial and Project Teams, helping to ensure projects are delivered profitably, efficiently, and to the high standards Jephsons Shopfitters is known for.
Day to day, you’ll be:
- Reviewing drawings, specifications and tender documents
- Preparing detailed estimates, quotations and tender submissions
- Carrying out quantity take-offs and site surveys
- Sourcing and evaluating supplier and subcontractor pricing
- Identifying commercial risks and opportunities
- Attending project meetings and supporting project handovers
- Building strong relationships with clients, suppliers and subcontractors
Who we’re looking for
You’ll bring proven estimating experience within shopfitting, fit-out, construction or refurbishment, along with sound commercial awareness and a keen eye for detail. You’ll be confident reading and interpreting technical drawings, comfortable managing several projects at once, and able to work to tight deadlines.
Excellent communication, negotiation and organisational skills are essential, as is a proactive, solution-focused approach. You’ll also need a full UK driving licence, as the role involves site visits.
