It’s all go for Costa and Jephsons

Sometimes fit-outs come with extra challenges, as the Costa Coffee on the High Street in Billericay did recently.
The eat-in and take-away store needed a full refit using the Store of the Future design, but it also included an extension into the adjacent building. Such things are not uncommon, but surprises often lie in wait – and this one came in the form of asbestos in the fabric of the building, which had to be removed in order to allow the new structural supports to be put in place. Fortunately, we are fully experienced in handling the material and took care of it safely.
With the project including an extension, we were able to work in that area for two weeks and not affect the trading in the existing store. The main store was closed for only two weeks and opened on time, with no snags and ready to welcome customers to fill the 86 covers it now hosts.
Jephsons’ Project Manager, Andy Carter, says it was a challenging job, but the end product left the customer very satisfied indeed; “When it came to handover time, he just stood there going WOW this looks fantastic” says Andy.
It’s always nice to hit a landmark and for us, completing our very first shell-to-handover Costa Drive-Thru in the new Store of the Future design, it came with an added bonus – we handed it over snag-free.
When we handed the keys over to the Costa at Beardmore Park, Martlesham near Ipswich Costa’s Project Manager, Lilly Warrington said it was the best finish she had ever seen, which was very satisfying for the whole Jephsons team. We were on site for just over four weeks and left the once concrete shell looking fabulous at the end.
We always like to work as fast as our commitment to maintaining high quality standards allows, but we may have outdone ourselves with the partial re-fit of the Costa Coffee store in Gaolgate Street, Stafford.
Unbelievably, the 58-cover eat-in and take-away store was only closed for five days while we were on site. “This is probably the fastest turn-round we have ever done” said Jephsons’ Project Manager, Andy Carter> News archive
"We have been using Jephsons for the interior fit-outs of our Taco Bell restaurants ever since we became a UK franchisee holder for the brand in 2010, when we opened our first restaurant at the Lakeside Shopping Centre. Since then Jephsons has gone on to carry out interior fit-outs on another four of our Taco Bells, meaning they have completed nearly half of all the brand's restaurants in the UK. They are a great team to work with and always give me confidence that the job will be finished on time and looking as just as good as my customers would expect. If you are looking for an interior fit-out firm for a food retail outlet, then you really should have these guys on your tender list."
